Monday: Scarf Day so wear your favorite scarf.
Tuesday: Professor Day so wear glasses, a collared shirt, suspenders, etc.
Wednesday: Weasley Wednesday so wear your favorite Weasley (ugly) sweater.
Thursday: Wizard Day so wear your wizard robes and bring your wand.
Friday: House colors day so wear your house colors (seniors are red and gold; juniors are green and silver; sophomores are blue and bronze; and freshmen are yellow and black).
Dressing up will help earn points for your class. Counting will happen from 7:00-7:20 every morning at the Main and Student Center entrances. Don’t forget the pep assembly on Friday! See Ms. Brethauer with questions.
WELCOME BACK AGAIN DANCE: By changing the Welcome Back Again Dance, our goal is to change things up for our student body and try something new and diverse. The dance will cost $8 with your student I.D. and $10 without, from 7:30pm to 10:45pm on February 10. By labeling it as an Informal Sadie Hawkins Dance it gives a chance for students to dress formal if they would like or casual as this dance as always been. Another new addition is to award prizes (parking spots) to those who have the most creative duo costume like Brad and Angelina or Tom and Jerry. This is a new element to help contribute to the changes that are trying to be established between the winter and fall dances. A Sadie Hawkins also allows a chance for girls to ask guys. However, people are still able to go in groups as before. The overall goal is to introduce something new to the student body in a way that people who like the old traditions will enjoy it as well. Hope to see you all there!
DECA INFORMATIONAL MEETING: Did you know that almost 50% of students graduating from high school study business in college? Did you know that small business is the fastest growing industry today? Do you want to learn how to become your own boss? Are you creative? Would you like to get job experience? Then you need to learn about the exciting world of Marketing and DECA. There will be an informational meeting on Monday (today), February 6th at 2:30 in room 107 (by the senior pit). Plan to attend, there will be food!

HEY HOCKEY FANS: The season is winding down, but there are some great games left for the Varsity Hockey team. February 11 is the final home game and senior night so be sure to come out and support the six seniors as they play their final home game. The game starts at 8:30 PM at South Suburban ice rink. Let’s have a packed house as we take on conference rival Air Academy. There are prizes and give-a-ways so bring your friends and catch a great game. The last two away games promise to be great action and they will be played close by at the Ice Ranch. We want to see a big crowd on Monday February 13 at 4:50 PM as we take on new comer Mountain Vista and Saturday February 18, when we battle Valor Christian at 9:00 PM.
