SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULES: Schedules for second semester were available for viewing on Infinite Campus last Friday, December 2. If there were errors on your schedule, please follow the procedure for schedule corrections: You must fill out a Schedule Correction Form (available in the Counseling Office or on the website under GeneralĂ School FormsĂ Schedule Correction Form). This form must be filled out in order for a schedule correction to be made. Counselors may not be available for you to meet with, but will checking correction forms as they are turned in. Remember that changes will only be made for legitimate academic reasons such as: student placed in wrong level of a class; student fails to meet the prerequisite of a class; student has been scheduled for two classes during the same period; student does not have lunch hour, etc. The last day to submit a Schedule Correction Form is Friday, December 9.

PLAN TEST RESULTS: Students, if you took the PLAN test on Saturday, November 12, your test results are in. Please go to the Second Floor Lecture Hall immediately after school on Wednesday, December 7, to pick up your test results.

SENIORS AND PARENTS: Herff Jones is the official supplier of graduation announcements, cap and gowns. The deadline for ordering graduation announcements, accessories, and cap and gown is quickly approaching. And just a reminder that you can save money by ordering prior to the December 14th group ordering deadline. After December 14th, prices increase with individual orders and some graduation items may not be available. You may order @ www.uniquerecognition.com with your debit or credit card. You may also mail your order form and deposit to: Unique Recognition, 333 E.4th St. Ste 102, Loveland, CO 80537. If your senior did not bring home a graduation packet, please pick one up in the Main Office. If you have specific questions, please call the Herff Jones office @ (970) 663-2668 and they will be glad to help you.

LIBRARY/MEDIA SERVICES: As the Fall semester draws to a close, our Library and Media Services are being prepared for an important upgrade over the Winter Break to the new Follett Destiny Library Manager. Our current system is over 20 years old and has served its useful lifespan in service to LPS. Library staff across the district are preparing for the transition to “go live” with the new system in January. All school library circulation desks will be closed on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 as we finalize training and activate the new database. After that, teachers, students and parents alike will be able to use this new online library system both at school and at home.

HEY FRESHMEN! COME TO CRAMFEST on Thursday, December 8, from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the Student Center to get help from your LINK Leaders in studying for your first high school finals! There will be free food and assistance in all subject areas, so take advantage of this opportunity to get help and review. See you there!

AUDITIONS for the HHS Winter musical Xanadu will be held Tuesday, December 13th. For more information and to sign up, check the theatre callboard. If you have questions or would like to sign up for a technical crew, see Miss O.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Attention all NHS Members: There is a National Honor Society meeting this Wednesday, December 7, immediately after school in the Theatre. All new inductees must attend, as well as current senior members. Remember that service hours are due for seniors!

ATTENTION ALL COLLEGE BOUND STUDENTS! We have two important events planned for you and your parents this evening! Starting at 5:15 p.m. we will be viewing the movie 500 Words or Less, a fun documentary on the college application process, followed by a 7:00 -8:00 p.m. Financial Aid presentation (entitled Financial Aid 101) conducted by Heidi Markey, Assistant Director of Financial Aid at the University of Denver. All events will be held in the 2nd Floor Lecture Hall. Come for one or both activities! This is an exciting evening! See Mrs. Miller in the Counseling Office for additional information.

STRATEGIC GAMING CLUB meets most Tuesdays in room 304 from 2:25 - 3:25 p.m. We are meeting this week, Tuesday, November 29! We play collectible card games and board games, anything that requires strategic thinking. Bring your own game, or join in with others. Learn something new! See Mrs. Phipps in World Languages, room 304 for more information or just show up.

LPS DRIVER EDUCATION: Information for the Littleton Public Schools’ Driver Education Program can now be found online at http://www.lpsdriveredonline.net/. If you’d like to enroll in a class for Spring 2012, you may now go the website to register.
